Chris de WetChris L. de Wet is Associate Professor of New Testament and Early Christian Studies, in the Department of Biblical and Ancient Studies at the University of South Africa, Pretoria, and Honorary Research Fellow at the Australian Lutheran College, University of Divinity, Adelaide.

Research areas include: New Testament, Apocrypha, Early Christianity, Late Antiquity.

His most recent books are Revisioning John Chrysostom: New Approaches, New Perspectives (co-editor with Wendy Mayer, Brill, 2019) and Reconceiving religious conflict: New views from the formative centuries of Christianity, Routledge studies in the early Christian world (co-editor with Wendy Mayer, 2018).
